Let’s Try: StrongerU Seniors Fitness
March 6 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
A.C. Hunter – St John’s.
Let’s Try is a library program series where patrons can “try” an activity to get a sense of it and decide if it is something they would like to do again.
Join us and our special guest Sharon Trainor for this single session of StrongerU Seniors Fitness.
The program has a great combination of strength training, breathing techniques, and balance and coordination exercises, yoga poses along with cognitive therapy to enable us to navigate this chapter of our lives. We will meet each other where we are and start from there. Think about a few benefits you would like to see from this program.
If you have any health concerns please ensure your doctor is ok with you participating in an exercise program. Dress in comfortable loose fitting clothes and indoor footwear (does not have to be sneakers). If you do have a yoga mat feel free to bring. We will have 2 lbs. weights and therapy bands to get us started. If you have heavier weights and would like to bring it is ok. This environment is a safe and welcoming space making it accessible to all. Sharon is a senior and very interested in sharing and exploring activities and movement to keep you aging well. Bring some water to have during the session.
