TDSRC – Let’s Talk Science

July 29 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Kids and Families events photo. There are 5 children in the photo. They are either in a library or classroom. All children are viewing books. One child is sitting on the floor, three children are lying on the floor, and one child is standing. There are shelves behind them with baskets of books.

Our friends from Let’s Talk Science Grenfell Campus are joining us here at the Library for a special science workshop!

Wings of Discovery: Why Live Here

“Children are guided through various explorations that will allow them to construct knowledge and develop skills about different animal habitats, including a habitat’s role in providing sources of food and shelter. The workshop begins with a classification exercise to introduce “living” vs “non-living” things. In these activities they will learn that habitats provide shelter and build a bird’s nest using various materials.”

This workshop is suitable for children ages 3-6. Registration required. Presented as part of Corner Brook Public Library’s TD Summer Reading Club events.
