Loans from Libraries Outside of the NLPL System
If you would like to borrow a book or get a copy of an article that is not available in the NLPL system, we may be able to obtain a copy from an external library. Please contact your local library to make a request.
Loan periods are determined by the lending library and renewals must be requested through your local library staff. Items must be returned in good condition or a replacement charge will apply.
Before you submit an interlibrary loan request, please ensure that:
- You have a valid NLPL library card. If you do not have a card, learn how to get one.
- The information that you provide to staff is as complete and as specific as possible.
Please allow 3-8 weeks from the date of your request for delivery.
To find out more, contact a library near you.
