Historic Crime Club

What is a historic crime club? We come together each quarter to investigate, research and discuss old crimes from Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond. Join us as we explore the “Shooting of John Carter in 1875”. Participants are asked to research the case as much as possible and come prepared to discuss their findings. Special guest semi-retired criminal lawyer John Brookes.

Join us for a FREE information session and clinic to learn about the NEW Canadian Dental Care Plan.  A Service Canada Representative will be at the library to answer your questions and guide you through the application process.

Please bring your ID, SIN and information about your spouse or partner.

Michael Donovan Public Library Writer’s Group

Do you like to write? Do you want to meet other writers? Then the Michael Donovan Writing group is for you! Join us twice a month (one Wednesday and one Saturday) to share your writing, get advice, and talk to other writers!
