George Murray and Colin Glavac will be our very special guests.
George Murray (he/him) has worked in the arts and culture sector in Newfoundland & Labrador for 20 years. He is the former executive director of the Association of Cultural Industries of Newfoundland & Labrador and has sat on many local, provincial, and national committees and working groups, including the City of St. John’s Cultural Advisory Committee, Cultural Tourism Steering Committee, the Canadian Cultural Human Resources Council, the Atlantic Publishers Marketing Association, various committees and juries at The Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, ArtsNL, Manitoba Arts Council, the City of St. John’s, City of Toronto, and more. He is a past WritersNL board member, and is a longstanding board member for the experimental theatre company One Little Goat (New York/Toronto). George is also an author with ten books, including seven books of poetry, two books of aphorisms, and one book for children. He lives in St. John’s.
Collin Glavac is a Canadian born writer from Southern Ontario, now living in beautiful St. John’s Newfoundland. He has written, directed, and acted in two original stage plays: In Real Life and LoveSpell. He has written four self-published books: Ghosts of Guatemala, Operation Nicaragua, and Cuban Conspiracy, in the spy thriller John Carpenter trilogy, and Vaulter’s Magic, the first in the young adult urban-fantasy Daniel Vaulter series.
Collin completed his Dramatic and Liberal Arts B.A. and M.A. at Brock University. When Collin isn’t writing he enjoys painting miniatures, performing improv, and drinking too much coffee. He loves hearing from readers, so please don’t hesitate to contact him by email at: collinglavac@gmail.com
