National Canadian Film Day Screening

Stephenville Crossing: Celebrating National Canadian Film Day with a screening of an independent NL film: Skeet. This event is open to all and requires no registration. Feel free to bring your own snacks (although some will be provided,) get cozy, and enjoy a local film!

Skeet (2025) is rated PG 14+ and has a runtime of 104 minutes. Please attend at your own discretion.

“Skeet” is a 2024 Canadian drama film by Nik Sexton, featuring Sean Dalton as Billy Skinner, a Newfoundland skeet seeking a fresh start after prison. He befriends Mohamed (Jay Abdo), a Syrian refugee adapting to Newfoundland. The film earned nominations at the 2024 Atlantic International Film Festival and the 13th Canadian Screen Awards.
