Sponsored by Dublin City Council, the award is unique in that it receives its nominations from public libraries around the world and NLPL is incredibly proud to have been the library to nominate The Adversary.

NLPL will no longer be providing access to Niche Academy as of April 20, 2025. If you have been using the service, please take this time to complete any outstanding courses or download previously earned certificates.

The following update is relevant for patrons making use of resources available through Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA).

CELA recently announced that, due to federal funding cuts, they will no longer be sending out CDs to users or libraries, effective July 31, 2025. Please note that all other CELA services and formats will remain available to CELA users.

CELA is committed to supporting its many users in this transition from CDs to other ways of reading audiobooks and magazines. To find out more about CELA’s plan and the supports that will be available to its users, please click here.

NLPL has taken the position that we will no longer be supporting the X Platform.

Our Events Calendar has a great new feature – online registration.  To find the programs you’re interested in, use the Event Category button to highlight programs on particular topics or geared toward specific age groups. The Venues button will allow you to limit the program listings to events taking place at your local NLPL locations.

Once you find the perfect program, you can register right from the listing.  We will follow up with an email to confirm your registration status and send you an email reminder about upcoming programs. You can also add the program to your preferred online calendar.
